Actually, a stall named Pappu Chaat Bhandar is located on KG Marg in Connaught Place, the heart of Delhi. While talking to the team of Local 18, Pappu, the operator of this stall, told that his stall is more than 50 years old. His chaat is so famous that even famous Bollywood actor Shatrughan Sinha is a fan of his chaat. He told that Shatrughan Sinha likes the potato chaat of his shop very much. He has been coming to his stall to eat it since 1992. Apart from this, many leaders of Delhi also come to his shop to eat his chaat. He further told that you will get to eat potato chaat, fruit chaat, potato tikki chaat and papdi chaat at his shop. Apart from this, you will get to drink special cold coffee at his shop. Which is made in a very unique way. Cold coffee is made at his shop by generator.
Potatoes are fried twice…
Pappu told that even today you will get the same old taste here. You just order whether you want to eat spicy, tangy, sweet-sour or any other type of chaat. You will get to eat the same chaat here. He told that potatoes are first cut into small pieces. They are lightly fried once in refined oil on a big pan and kept aside. When the customer comes, these potato pieces are fried again till they become crispy and golden, so that the potatoes get ‘life’ and the fun of the chaat doubles. Talking about the price of their chaat, their chaat is 50 rupees per plate. If you want a bigger size, it is available for 70 rupees.
